Global Talent and Martial Arts Spirit on Full Display at 2025 UMKS Regional Invitational

The energy was electric, the talent unmatched, and the spirit unforgettable as United Mirae Kuk Sool (UMKS) hosted its 2025 Regional Martial Arts Invitational on April 11–12 in Woodside, California. With nearly 200 competitors traveling in from across the globe, the event was a celebration of tradition, technique, and community.
The competitor earns points based on their medal placement in the event. A first-place medal is worth 5 points, second place is worth 3 points, third place is worth 2 points and fourth place is worth 1 point.
Grand Champion Titles: All-Around Excellence
UMKS Grand Champion awards are earned by black belts who demonstrate superior performance across multiple events, including forms, weapons, techniques, sparring, and breaking. Winners are determined by total points across these divisions.
1st Dahn 12 & Under (Female): Hana Preston (Evolution Martial Arts, UK) - 28 points
1st Dahn 12 & Under (Male): Dustin Nguyen (Burlingame Martial Arts, USA) - 23 points
1st Dahn 13 & 14 (Male): Justin Eng (Burlingame Martial Arts, USA) - 22 points

Mirae Champion titles are awarded based on combined scores from Bong 2 Staff, Bae Ki Sword, and Fight Choreography. These titles reflect exceptional skill in advanced performance categories.
